Making the Cut (Unframed, 8" x 11")

The ocean’s ability to constantly reshape coastal areas fascinates me. In the blink of an eye…or a storm, a new channel can be created between bodies of water formerly separated by land. It’s a configuration that often creates a more protected area for sea life to breed.

This painting was inspired by Midnight Pass and is part of my “Engulfed” series, based on childhood memories of visits to Siesta Key on the Gulf of Mexico.

Acrylic, graphite and oil pastel on 300# Fabriano Pittura Paper.

This original 8” x 11” painting arrives ready to frame, matted in a standard sized 16” x 12” acid free mat with backing, and sealed in a protective acetate bag.
