Terms of Service

By using any part of this site, you are agreeing to our terms. For information about privacy, please refer to the privacy policy page found here.

Payment for purchases is accepted through PayPal and Stripe, which includes most major credit cards.

All content and imagery on this website is protected by the copyright laws of the United States of America and cannot be used for commercial purposes by others.

Shipping and Delivery

Fees: Shipping is calculated as a flat rate and based on the size of the item that you buy. This cost is in addition to the value of the artwork itself. The shipping fee helps cover the cost to ship via USPS (or occasionally UPS) with additional insurance and tracking numbers, plus packaging materials and the time it takes to carefully package your fragile item(s) in protective wrap and then securely box it/them in cushioning materials for safe transit. Every effort is made to utilize packing materials that are recycled, recyclable, repurposed and/or sustainable.

In some cases, artwork may be too large to estimate a flat rate of shipping. Where this is the case, a prompt will be shown to message me for a cost estimate to your locale.

Delivery Time: Please allow 3-7 days from the time you purchase an item for it to be prepared and shipped (includes time for labeling, matting, framing, carefully wrapping and packaging, plus holiday or a weekend), unless otherwise indicated. Most packages arrive within 3-10 days from the date they are shipped. During busy holidays or unforeseen situations such the Covid-19 pandemic or U.S. Postal Service changes, there may be delays in delivery.

Damage or Theft: Unfortunately, once a package is in the hands of the carrier, I cannot be responsible for damage, mishandling or theft during the shipping process or after the item arrives at its destination. However, each package will be insured for its full value and tracking information will be provided to you so that you can track the package with the carrier during transit and delivery. If a mishap should occur, please contact the carrier directly with your tracking and insurance information and let me know as soon as possible by emailing me at betsy@betsyburts.com.

Currently, shipping is limited to the United States. If you are outside of the United States, please contact me directly at betsy@betsyburts.com before purchasing and I can estimate cost of shipping to your area and any applicable VAT or or taxes that may be incurred.

Returns

All sales are final. Please carefully consider a purchase before you press that “pay now” button. If you have any questions at all about a piece of artwork, please message me before purchase.

All of my artwork is made by hand and is one-of-a-kind. I do my best to provide professional photography of each item and photograph three-dimensional pieces from many angles in order to give an accurate representation of the work. Still, it’s an imperfect process where colors may vary from computer screen to reality. Additionally, it’s the nature of hand-built pottery and sculpture to have subtle variations throughout the piece, some of which may not show up photographically.

For paintings, please note whether or not the painting is listed as “matted," “framed” or “unframed.” The description of each painting that is available for sale will have this information plus the type of painting it is (watercolor, acrylic, etc.) and the substrate it’s painted on such as “canvas,” “paper” or “board.”

I encourage you to read and consider all descriptive information provided for each item and contact me with any questions you may have that are not already answered on this website before you make a purchase.
