Frequently Asked Questions

HOW OFTEN DO YOU SELL YOUR ARTWORK?

Several times a year, I’ll upload new collections of my artwork for sale to my online shop, as well as advertise any shows or special events I’m participating in. Please sign up for my email list here to get first access to available work and invitations to special events.

HOW DO I FIND OUT ABOUT A SALE, SHOW OR EVENT?

You can be the first to know about events, shows and sales that I’m participating in by signing up for my email list. I will also be promoting events and sales on my social media sites and you can follow me on social media by using the links at the bottom of this page.

IS ANY OF THE ARTWORK IN YOUR GALLERY AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE?

If an item you see in my gallery isn’t already sold or in a private collection, it could be available for purchase. All of my artwork is an original, one-of-a-kind piece and cannot be recreated. If you have a question about an individual piece you see on this website, please feel free to email me at betsy@betsyburts.com. I’ll be happy to answer any questions as well as discuss similar items that may be available for purchase.

Do you accept commissions?

Thank you for being interested in commissioning my artwork. Currently I’m not accepting commissions. Please check back periodically to see if a Commissions page has been added to this site or feel free to email me with any specific questions about commissions at betsy@betsyburts.com.

Do your paintings come framed and/or ready to hang?

All paintings on canvas or board, framed or unframed, will be wired or corded and ready to hang. Whether or not a painting is framed depends on the individual item. Gallery deep canvases and cradled wood panels may not be framed, but will have finished edges for a more modern look. Thin wood panels will be float-framed. Works on paper may be unframed and arrive in an acid-free mat and backing, ready for framing. Read each individual listing carefully and it will explain if that specific item will be framed, matted or ready to hang.

How will my artwork be wrapped for shipping?

It depends on the type of artwork and the size, but paintings will be carefully packed using corner protection, bubble wrap and cardboard, and pottery will be wrapped in wadding and/or bubble wrap, well packed and surrounded by eco-friendly packing peanuts. I take special care and time to assure that items are well protected to arrive in perfect condition. For more details about shipping, delivery and insurance, please see my shipping policy.

DO YOU SELL AND SHIP YOUR ARTWORK OUTSIDE OF THE UNITED STATES?

Unfortunately, I don’t currently offer international shipping and therefore sales, outside of the U.S. However if you are outside of the U.S. and are interested in a work for sale, please contact me directly before purchase at betsy@betsyburts.com and we can discuss estimates for bespoke shipping, taxes and any additional costs.

WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT ONLINE?

Secure online payment for the purchase of artwork is easily made in the online shop via PayPal and Stripe. You do NOT have to have a PayPal account to make a purchase. PayPal accepts a large number of credit cards, including Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. Please refer to the PayPal website for more information on their policies.

My favorite piece of your artwork sold. How can I be sure to know about new available work?

Some pieces sell as soon as they are available. Be sure to join my mailing list to have access to new work before it’s made available to the public. I generally email once a month and when new work is available. Following me on Instagram or Facebook is also a great way to see new work that is in progress and may be coming available.

THE ARTWORK I BOUGHT FROM YOU WAS DAMAGED BY (A HUMAN, ANIMAL OR NATURAL disaster). CAN YOU fix IT?

It’s heartbreaking when a loved piece of art gets damaged or broken. I’m an artist, but I’m not an art repair or restoration expert, which is a very specialized talent. However, you can reach out to me and depending on the nature of the damage, I will try and point you in the direction of someone who professionally repairs and/or restores art.
